Audrey refused to attend the Eastbridge semifinal.

Audrey’s father, Michael Dorsey, had divorced Celina four years earlier. He was not an Ardelli. He managed municipal infrastructure projects and had no interest in family mythology.
He arrived at the conservatory after the recital.
Audrey told him everything.

Michael supported her.
Celina initially objected.
“You’re throwing away an invitation.”
Audrey looked at her.
“It’s not mine.”
That sentence hurt.

Eastbridge withdrew the application after being notified.
No blacklisting of a nine-year-old.
The admissions director made that clear.
Audrey could reapply honestly in a future cycle.
The misconduct belonged to the adult guardian, not the child.

Then Michael sought temporary decision-making authority over music applications until the parents worked out a better arrangement.
Not total custody removal.
Family court did not need to turn recital fraud into permanent maternal exile.
Celina entered parenting counseling.
Audrey continued seeing her mother.
